My 18-month-old daughter has recently started to say the word FUCK!<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Oops :0<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
She doesn\u2019t just say it quietly or with any trepidation. She uses it with drama, punctuation to really get her point across.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Cringe!!<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
When she does it the whole family looks at me and rolls their eyes. Clearly this beautiful pearl of wisdom I have passed down is mine.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
What an enormous responsibility parenting is. Quite literally were shaping a human every second of every moment she is toddling about this great wondrous world.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
But we all know that. Don\u2019t we?<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
And for once in my life I am not shying away from this immense responsibility. In fact I am very proud of my little tyke.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
But what this little human is teaching me is how my actions, words, deeds and intentions are not only shaping her but shaping our blood lines to come.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Her daughter will now probably be a great user of the magnificent F word and should she not break the cycle so her granddaughter to.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
When it\u2019s one little f word then I guess it\u2019s not too much concern is it?<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
OR IS IT!!<\/p>\n
It stopped me in my tracks to think that me, the mother, right now, today, has the responsibility to be nothing less than the breaker of chains, the mother of dragons, to be the evolutionary wheel and hope of Deanery\u2019s Storm Born. (If only I could have her hair to).<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Weather we have children or not we owe it to our ancestors to be the breaker of chains, to put our stake in the ground and proclaim that the buck stops with us.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Weather that\u2019s creating multi generational wealth for a family that\u2019s come from the depths of poverty.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Weather it\u2019s healing the long line of \u201cgenetic\u201d illnesses from a bloodline of poor health.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Weather it\u2019s been a long history of control, trauma and abuse in all its many faceted forms, the buck should stop with us.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
We cannot, we should not and we will not pass it down into history.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
The positive actions we take, the healing that we do, the clearing, shedding transforming and creating, ripples far into the future effecting multi generations to come.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
On a micro level this is profound and wakes us up to the fact that no change is small.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
Your granddaughter will thank you for being the one who woke the \u201cfudge\u201d up.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
On a macro level these small actions by each individual, this waking up, this becoming activists of personal improvement may very well save the human race and our beloved, our divine Mumma Gaia.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
